Harambee Starlets continued their impressive start to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games qualifiers after recording another commanding 11-0 victory over Seychelles in the return leg played at Ulinzi Sports Complex on Monday, October 12, 2026.

Kenya secured a convincing 22-0 aggregate triumph, having registered an identical 11-0 win in the first leg last week, to advance to the next round of the African qualifiers.

Striker Jentrix Shikangwa was the star of the afternoon, marking her return to the national team with a brilliant hat-trick as the hosts dominated the encounter from the opening whistle.

Head coach Godfrey ‘Solo’ Oduor made wholesale changes to the starting lineup that featured in the first leg, giving more players an opportunity to showcase their abilities while maintaining Kenya’s attacking intensity.

Sylvia Makungu opened the scoring after following up on a rebound from Violet Nanjala’s effort, before Nanjala doubled Kenya’s advantage with a well-taken finish.

Shikangwa then took centre stage, scoring twice as the Starlets extended their lead, with Vivian Nasaka adding another goal to send Kenya into the break with a comfortable 5-0 advantage.

The Kenyan side resumed the second half with the same attacking intent, and captain Mwanalima Adam joined the scoresheet to further underline the hosts’ dominance.

Shikangwa completed her hat-trick in the 67th minute after finishing off a well-worked move created by Nasaka, delivering a memorable performance on her return to the national team.

Adam later completed her brace, while Fascila Adhiambo added another goal as Seychelles struggled to contain Kenya’s relentless attacking pressure.

Substitute Marion Serenge also made an immediate impact after coming off the bench, winning and converting a penalty before scoring again to complete the 11-0 rout.

The emphatic victory sends Harambee Starlets into the next round with renewed confidence as they continue their quest to qualify for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

Kenya will now await the outcome of the second-leg clash between Malawi and Zimbabwe to determine their next opponents in the qualifiers.
