Kilifi County has joined the rest of the country in marking Mashujaa Day, with celebrations underway at Bamba Primary School in Ganze Constituency.
The event is being presided over by Kilifi Governor Gideon Mung’aro, alongside Acting Kilifi County Commissioner Samuel Mutisya.
The celebrations have attracted a large turnout of residents, political leaders and community representatives who have gathered to commemorate the national holiday and honour Kenya’s heroes and heroines.
The event officially kicked off with entertainment and cultural performances, adding to the festive atmosphere as residents joined the country in celebrating Mashujaa Day.
The annual national holiday provides an opportunity for Kenyans to reflect on the sacrifices made by individuals who contributed to the country’s struggle for independence, democracy and national development.
The Bamba celebrations form part of nationwide activities marking the day, bringing together leaders and residents to recognise the contributions of Kenya’s heroes and heroines.
