Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has declared that Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna would serve two terms as President if he wins the 2027 General Election, while expressing his own ambition to become governor before eventually seeking the presidency.
Speaking about Sifuna’s political future, Owino said the Nairobi senator would serve as Head of State for two consecutive five-year terms, potentially remaining in office until 2037.
“If Sifuna enters State House in 2027, he will serve two terms until 2037. I should also go for the governorship for two terms before I enter the presidency for two terms as well,” Owino said.
His remarks signal confidence in Sifuna’s potential presidential ambitions while also outlining his own long-term political aspirations.
Owino’s statement comes amid ongoing political realignments and early discussions about potential contenders ahead of the 2027 General Election.
