Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya has called for the reinstatement of Geoffrey Mosiria, questioning his removal from the position of Nairobi County Chief Officer for Environment to the Citizen Service Delivery docket.

In a social media post, Salasya expressed dissatisfaction with the changes affecting Mosiria, arguing that Nairobi residents deserved an explanation for the decision.

The MP also threatened political action against Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja if Mosiria was not reinstated, suggesting that the governor could face a challenge in the 2027 elections.“Geoffrey Mosiria should be brought back to his job, or we will demonstrate when I return to Kenya,” Salasya stated.

He further claimed that Mosiria was the only Nairobi County employee he knew, despite being a resident of the city, and questioned why the county administration had moved him from the Environment docket to Citizen Service Delivery before his eventual dismissal.

“I only knew Mosiria in Nairobi County. I don’t know any other employee apart from him. I am also a resident of Nairobi, and I have a right to know why Mosiria was removed from Environment Chief Officer to Citizen Service Delivery before my brother Sakaja Arthur Johnson sacked him,” Salasya said.

The legislator went on to demand Mosiria’s reinstatement, warning that failure to do so could have political consequences for Sakaja in the next general election.

“Bring back Mosiria, or he will remove you as governor next year. It’s not a joke; it’s serious,” Salasya added.

The remarks signal growing political attention surrounding Mosiria’s position in the Nairobi County administration, with Salasya using the matter to challenge the governor’s decision.
