Simba SC have been fined TZS 10 million for their supporters’ misconduct during their match against arch-rivals Yanga SC.

The Tanzania Premier League Board’s League Operations and Management Committee confirmed the sanction, stating that Simba fans threw bottles onto the pitch during the highly anticipated derby.

According to the committee, the incident constitutes a repeat offence by Simba supporters during the 2026/27 season, highlighting continued concerns over crowd behaviour and matchday discipline.

The fine adds to the disciplinary challenges facing the Tanzanian giants as they continue their campaign in the 2026/27 season.

The decision underscores the league authorities’ efforts to enforce discipline and curb unruly behaviour among supporters during domestic football matches.
