Nigerian Afrobeats star Wizkid is set to return to Kenya in December after confirming his appearance at the Detty Dezemba Festival scheduled for December 12, 2026, in Nairobi.
The singer confirmed the booking on Sunday, October 25, through a post on Instagram featuring a promotional poster for the event.
South African DJ Uncle Waffles has also been announced as one of the performers expected at the festival, with organisers promising a lineup featuring international and Kenyan artists.
The announcement followed days of speculation among Kenyan fans after DJ Tunez, a close collaborator of Wizkid, hinted at an upcoming visit to the country in social media posts.
Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, is known for songs including “Essence”, featuring Tems, “Ojuelegba” and “Joro”.
The singer has previously performed in Kenya, including appearances in Nairobi in 2017 and Nakuru in 2018.
His upcoming performance is expected to draw fans of Afrobeats as Nairobi prepares for the busy festive-season entertainment calendar.
Fans have been advised to follow official event channels for confirmed venue details, ticket availability and further announcements about the lineup.
