Three suspects have been arrested after a multi-agency security operation led to the seizure of 1,002 rolls of bhang in Jericho Estate, Buruburu Sub-County, Nairobi.

The operation, conducted on Friday, October 30, 2026, brought together officers from the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (NACADA), Jogoo Road Police Station, the Rapid Deployment Unit (RDU) and the K-9 Unit.

According to the National Police Service, the crackdown followed actionable intelligence reports that led officers to a two-bedroom residential house suspected of being used for drug-related activities.

Upon searching the premises, the officers recovered 1,002 rolls of bhang and arrested three suspects who were found inside the house.

The suspects were subsequently escorted to Jogoo Road Police Station, where they remain in custody pending processing and arraignment in court.

The seized narcotics have also been secured as exhibits to support the ongoing investigations and prosecution.

In a statement, the National Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to tackling the illegal drug trade, warning that security agencies will continue working with partner institutions to rid communities of illicit drugs.

The operation forms part of ongoing multi-agency efforts to curb drug trafficking and enhance public safety in Nairobi and other parts of the country.
