The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) has been recognised for excellence in public communication after emerging Second Runners-Up in the category of Best Constitutional Commissions and Independent Offices.

Director of Public Prosecutions Renson Ingonga received the award on Monday morning in recognition of the institution’s efforts in promoting effective communication, transparency and accountability.

The award was presented to Ingonga by Senior Assistant Director of Public Affairs and Corporate Communication David Shikami.

The ceremony was attended by Secretary Prosecution Services Alloys Kemo, Senior Deputy Directors Nkaduda Hiribae and Hassan Abdi, who oversee Corporate Services and Inspectorate and Quality Assurance (IQA) departments respectively, as well as DPP’s Corporate Image Advisor Peter Okumu.

According to the ODPP, the recognition highlights its continued commitment to enhancing public awareness and understanding of its mandate through effective institutional communication.

The office further noted that the achievement reflects the collective efforts of its communication team in strengthening public engagement and promoting confidence in the administration of justice.
