The Kenya Mortgage Refinance Company (KMRC) Plc has appointed Patrick Macharia as a Non-Executive Director representing the National Treasury, effective October 1, 2026.
The appointment, announced in a company notice, is subject to regulatory approval.
Macharia currently serves as Chief Economist in the Resource Mobilization Department at the National Treasury, where he is responsible for planning, budgeting, resource mobilization, project tracking and reporting for foreign-financed projects.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Kenyatta University and has received professional training in financial management, investment analysis, corporate governance, strategic leadership and risk management.
His appointment adds National Treasury representation to the mortgage refinancing company’s board as it continues its work in Kenya’s housing finance sector.
