Motorists using Waiyaki Way have been notified of a 30-day partial closure as the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) carries out scheduled maintenance works.
The closure will affect the Mombasa-bound lanes between Villa Rosa Kempinski and the Museum Hill Interchange.
According to KeNHA Director General Eng. Luka Kimeli, the restriction will take effect from Thursday, October 8, to Saturday, November 7, 2026.
KeNHA said the works are aimed at improving the condition and quality of the highway.
Motorists have been advised to use the available open lanes or alternative routes during the maintenance period.
The authority has also urged drivers to follow the approved traffic management plan and cooperate with traffic marshals and police officers deployed along the affected section.
KeNHA asked motorists to exercise caution and plan their journeys in advance to minimise disruption during the 30-day works.
