The Kajiado Law Courts has granted DCI detectives from Isinya Police Station more time to complete investigations into a case involving Enock Peterson Mwangi, who is suspected of rape and child trafficking.
Chief Magistrate Peter Gesora allowed investigators to conduct further forensic examinations on items recovered from two houses rented by the suspect in Korompoi and Mashuuru, as well as complete DNA and fingerprint analysis before he is formally charged.
The court directed that the examination of the recovered items be completed by Thursday, while results from the Government Chemist and fingerprint analysis should be submitted by November 10, 2026, when Mwangi is expected to appear in court to face the charges.
According to a police report from Isinya, Mwangi was arrested in Korompoi, where he was allegedly found holding four children. Officers also recovered numerous children’s clothes from the two houses he had rented in Korompoi and Mashuuru.
The four children, aged between one and 17 years, have since been placed in a safe children’s home as investigations continue. The case is expected to proceed to hearing next month.
In a separate ruling, the Kajiado High Court revoked the suspect’s Sh50,000 bond after DCI officers raised concerns over the possibility of him absconding or interfering with witnesses and victims if released.
Investigators told the court that Mwangi had not provided complete personal details or identification documents, making it difficult to establish his identity. They further argued that he could interfere with witnesses or victims, some of whom were allegedly under his care at the time of his arrest.
The court ordered that Mwangi remain in custody at Isinya Police Station until his next court appearance.
The investigations are ongoing, and the allegations against the suspect remain subject to the court process.
