Barcelona produced a stunning second-half comeback to defeat Galatasaray 4-1 in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night, October 13, 2026, strengthening their position in the league phase.
The Spanish giants recovered from an early setback to claim a convincing victory at RAMS Park in Istanbul, with João Cancelo, Fermín López, Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi finding the net.
Galatasaray took the lead in the 28th minute through Aleksei Batrakov, putting Barcelona under pressure in front of the home supporters.
The hosts appeared to double their advantage shortly afterwards, but their second goal was ruled out for offside following a VAR review, giving Barcelona a lifeline.
Barcelona capitalised on the reprieve and restored parity in the 42nd minute when Cancelo finished off a move initiated by Dani Olmo, sending the teams into the break level at 1-1.
The visitors returned from the interval with renewed determination and quickly took control of the contest.
Fermín López put Barcelona ahead in the 50th minute after being set up by Lamine Yamal, before Anthony Gordon extended the lead to 3-1 just three minutes later, with Yamal again providing the assist.
Karim Adeyemi then completed the scoring in the 65th minute, sealing an emphatic comeback victory for the Catalan side.
Yamal was instrumental in Barcelona’s attacking display, delivering two assists as the visitors turned a difficult opening into a commanding performance.
The result gives Barcelona a significant boost in their Champions League campaign, while Galatasaray will be left to reflect on missed opportunities after failing to protect their early lead.
Barcelona will now turn their attention to their next European assignment as they seek to maintain their strong start to the competition.
