The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has suspended the commencement of the 2026/2027 National Super League (NSL) season following a court order issued by the Machakos High Court.
In a circular dated October 23, 2026, and addressed to all participating clubs, FKF said the court had issued orders halting the start of the new season following a case filed by Darajani Gogo FC against the federation.
“Consequently, the commencement of the 2026/2027 NSL season has been put on hold pending further developments in the matter,” the federation stated in the notice signed by Acting General Secretary and Chief Executive Officer Dennis Gicheru.
The suspension means clubs preparing for the new campaign will have to await further communication from the federation before league activities can officially begin.
FKF assured participating clubs that it would provide updates on the matter and communicate any developments regarding the resumption of the competition.
“The Federation will keep all participating clubs informed of any updates and provide further communication regarding the resumption of league activities as appropriate,” the notice added.
The latest development is expected to disrupt preparations for the new NSL campaign as the federation awaits further developments in the legal dispute involving Darajani Gogo FC.
