At least 20 people have been confirmed dead following a head-on collision between a bus and a lorry at Kanga area, past Mtito Andei along the Mombasa Road.
Makueni County Commissioner Abdulahi Khalif confirmed the accident, which also left several other people injured.
The injured victims have been taken to Mtito Andei Sub-County Hospital, where they are receiving treatment.
