The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has warned Kenyans against engaging with fake TikTok accounts purporting to represent the agency.

In a public notice, the authority clarified that it does not operate an official TikTok account and cautioned members of the public against relying on information shared through accounts claiming to be affiliated with it.

NTSA urged Kenyans seeking enquiries, updates and verified information to use its official communication channels.

The warning comes amid concerns over the use of impersonation accounts on social media to mislead members of the public.
