The Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) has foiled an attempted theft of petroleum products through an illegal pipeline connection in Mombasa County.

The incident was detected on Monday during routine surveillance along the pipeline connecting Pumping Station 14 to Pumping Station 15.

KPC security and maintenance teams secured the site and reported the matter to Chaani Police Station, prompting specialist police teams to launch investigations.

KPC General Manager for Human Resource and Administration Dinah Kirwa said the swift response prevented the loss of petroleum products.
