Italy have secured a 3-1 victory over Türkiye in their UEFA Nations League Group A1 encounter played at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara in Bologna on Monday night.
The Azzurri made a strong start and took control of the contest, with Gianluca Scamacca opening the scoring in the first half.
Türkiye, however, fought back after the break and found an equaliser through Aral Şimşir.
Italy responded strongly to regain control of the match and eventually added two more goals to complete a convincing 3-1 victory.
The result is a major boost for Italy’s Nations League campaign as they strengthen their position in Group A1.
Italy had entered the match with four points from their opening three games, while Türkiye were still searching for their first point after three defeats.
The two nations had already met in Bursa on September 28, when Italy produced a dominant 4-1 victory. The latest result therefore gives the Azzurri a second win over Türkiye in the same Nations League campaign.
The victory keeps Italy firmly in the race for the top positions in Group A1 as the Nations League league phase continues.
