Saboti MP and People’s Renaissance Movement (PRM) party leader Caleb Amisi has raised concerns over claims of an alleged plan to import voters from neighbouring countries ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Amisi questioned Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen’s recent visit to Uganda and criticised remarks by Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale alleging that voters from Somalia could participate in Kenya’s elections.

The legislator has called on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to clarify its position on the claims and provide the public with a clear account of the situation.

Amisi said Kenyans deserve clarity on the integrity of the voter registration process and measures in place to safeguard the electoral process.
