Cameroonian-born model Solange Omon has made her runway debut as Victoria’s Secret’s newest Angel, following a casting competition that attracted thousands of aspiring models.

The 21-year-old was introduced during the brand’s 2026 fashion show on October 18 after progressing through a selection process featured in the YouTube docuseries Angels Among Us.

Omon, who lives in Maine in the United States, advanced through several stages of casting and training in New York before being selected for the role.

She previously worked as a nonprofit programme coordinator supporting Black and immigrant youth before pursuing modelling.

Her selection includes a contract with IMG Models, giving her a professional opportunity in an industry known for its competitive entry requirements.

Victoria’s Secret executives praised Omon’s individuality and confidence, while her selection places a new face at the centre of the brand’s latest runway presentation.

The fashion show also featured established models, including Gigi Hadid, Adriana Lima, Anok Yai and Precious Lee, alongside musical performances from several artists.

Victoria’s Secret has faced sustained scrutiny over its presentation of beauty and femininity, leading to changes in how the company markets its products and represents women.

Omon’s debut offers a human-interest angle on the route into international modelling, from working in community programmes to securing a place on a major fashion runway.

Her next challenge will be building a career in an industry where visibility, commercial opportunities and sustained professional representation can be difficult to secure.
