The Social Health Authority (SHA) has given healthcare providers across the country until September 30 to sign new contracts or risk losing the ability to offer services under the scheme.
The new contracts will allow hospitals to continue providing SHA services for three years, from 2026 to 2029.
SHA said existing contracts will expire on September 30, after which facilities that have not signed new agreements will no longer be authorised to serve SHA members.
Hospitals have also been directed to complete the contracting process through the SHA E-Contracting platform. Facilities that fail to meet the deadline must arrange for patients undergoing treatment to be transferred to hospitals with valid SHA contracts to prevent disruption of care.
Under the new arrangement, healthcare facilities must also have verified digital systems integrated with the Digital Health Agency system to continue offering SHA services.
