Kenyan comedy group Heha Movers has received a quarter-acre plot in Malindi alongside financial support towards building a home, in a surprise gift that left members emotional.
The gift was organised by their manager, content creator Nicki Bigfish, in collaboration with Naff Mwangi, the chief executive of Hyssop Properties, during an event in the coastal town.
According to reports, the land is located along the Salagate Bypass in Malindi and is estimated to be worth KSh299,000. The group was also presented with a house design and received support towards the construction of their future home, which they have nicknamed The Heha Mansion.
Videos shared online showed members of the group celebrating the announcement, with some visibly moved by the gesture.
Nicki Bigfish reportedly said the gift was intended to recognise the young creatives’ hard work and support them following online stereotyping linked to their Kibera background.
Heha Movers rose to popularity through comedy sketches in which members portray corporate-style moving company executives, blending exaggerated business pitches with Nairobi street humour.
Their videos have attracted attention across social media platforms, opening up commercial opportunities and brand partnerships.
The Malindi gift marks another milestone for the group as it continues to build its profile in Kenya’s digital entertainment scene.
