Jaoko Oburu Odinga has thanked Kenyans who attended the first anniversary of the death of former Prime Minister Raila Amollo Odinga at Migwena Grounds, as well as those who followed the proceedings from their homes.

In a statement shared on social media on Friday, October 16, Jaoko expressed gratitude for the public’s support as the family continued to honour Raila’s life and legacy.

“I would like to thank all Kenyans who came to Migwena Grounds for the first anniversary of the passing of Baba Raila Amollo Odinga, as well as those who followed the proceedings from their homes,” he said.

Jaoko added that the attendance and solidarity shown by Kenyans meant a great deal to the family as they marked the milestone.

“Your presence and solidarity means a great deal as we continue to honour his life and legacy,” he added.

Raila, who served as Kenya’s Prime Minister from 2008 to 2013, remained a prominent figure in the country’s political landscape for decades.

The anniversary brought together people to remember the former prime minister and reflect on his contribution to Kenya’s political history.
