Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka is set to embark on a two-day political tour of Mombasa County, seeking to strengthen his party’s presence at the Coast as leaders position themselves ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Kalonzo is expected to begin his tour on Friday, October 9, 2026, following President William Ruto’s recent visit to the Coast region, which has drawn renewed attention to the region’s political significance.

During the visit, the Wiper leader is scheduled to hold public meetings in Changamwe and Mwembe Tayari before proceeding to Junda, Mwisho, Kisauni and Shanzu.

The tour is expected to bring Kalonzo closer to residents while providing a platform to engage local communities on issues affecting them.

Beyond the public rallies, Kalonzo is also expected to meet politicians seeking to contest various elective positions on the Wiper Party ticket.

The engagements are likely to provide an opportunity for the party to assess its grassroots support and connect with potential candidates as political preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.

The Coast region remains an important political battleground, with leaders seeking to build alliances and expand their support ahead of the polls.

Kalonzo’s visit comes amid increased political activity as leaders seek to consolidate their influence across the country ahead of the next General Election.

The tour is also expected to provide an opportunity for discussions on local concerns and development priorities affecting residents of Mombasa County.
