Kenya Railways has announced free commuter train rides for members of the public as part of this year’s Customer Service Week celebrations.
The initiative is aimed at giving commuters an opportunity to experience Kenya Railways’ commuter services while celebrating customers and recognising their role in the railway sector.
Under the initiative, members of the public will be able to access selected commuter train services without paying the usual fare during the designated Customer Service Week period.
Kenya Railways said the offer is part of its efforts to enhance customer engagement and appreciate passengers who rely on rail transport for their daily journeys.
The initiative is also expected to give more members of the public an opportunity to experience commuter rail services as Kenya continues to promote affordable and reliable public transport.
Commuters have been encouraged to take advantage of the free rides and observe the applicable travel guidelines issued by Kenya Railways.
Further details on the specific routes, dates, train schedules and conditions for accessing the free rides are expected to be communicated by Kenya Railways.
