Kisii Governor and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Deputy Party Leader Simba Arati has visited party leader Oburu Oginga as he continues to recuperate at his Nairobi residence.
Arati shared a photograph with Oburu on Thursday, October 22, conveying greetings from the Siaya Senator to ODM members and supporters.
“Receive warm greetings from DPL Simba N’etaya and the Pawaa-man himself, PL Dr Oburu Oginga!” Arati said in a message accompanying the photograph.
The governor also urged ODM supporters to turn up for the party’s planned engagement in Turkana County on Friday, October 23.
Oburu is recovering at home following his discharge from hospital on October 19. He has been observing medical advice to rest and avoid public appearances as he recuperates.
The ODM leader’s absence from recent public engagements has seen senior party officials, including Arati and Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir, take on responsibilities to ensure party activities continue.
Arati’s visit comes as ODM prepares to extend its grassroots mobilisation activities to Turkana County.
