Shabana FC opened their new SportPesa League campaign on a positive note after securing a narrow 1-0 victory over Posta Rangers at Wang’uru Stadium on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
The Glamour Boys battled to a hard-fought victory, collecting maximum points in their season opener as they look to establish themselves among the contenders in the new Kenya Premier League campaign.
The narrow win provides Shabana with an important early boost, giving the team confidence as they begin their quest for a successful season.
Posta Rangers, meanwhile, will be disappointed to leave the encounter empty-handed after falling just short of earning a result against their opponents.
With the league campaign now underway, both sides will be keen to build momentum, although Shabana will take greater satisfaction from starting their season with three points.
The victory gives the Kisii-based side a strong foundation to build on as they prepare for their upcoming league fixtures, while Posta Rangers will need to regroup and seek a response in their next outing.
The result marks a winning start for the Glamour Boys, who will now turn their attention to their next assignment as the battle for league honours gathers pace.
