A 27-year-old man suspected of being behind a series of house break-ins in Tabuga and its environs in Nakuru County has been arrested following an intelligence-led police operation.
The suspect, identified as Calvin Okoli Ndimu, was arrested after officers from Githioro Police Station raided his house in Free Area following intelligence linking him to burglaries reported in the area over the past two months.
A search of the premises led to the recovery of several items suspected to have been stolen, including two 43-inch television screens, two TV stands, three subwoofers, assorted clothing, bedding and footwear.
Police also recovered a pair of Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) jungle trousers, a homemade toy gun, one live round of ammunition and blank ammunition of calibre 7.62×51mm.
According to the police, most of the recovered items have already been positively identified by their rightful owners.
Investigations are ongoing to establish the full extent of the suspect’s alleged activities and determine whether he is connected to other reported burglary cases in the area.
The suspect remains in custody as police process the case ahead of his expected arraignment in court.
