A youth football match between Uberlândia and Mamoré in Brazil descended into chaos after a mass brawl involving players and coaching staff left 51 people sent off.

The incident occurred during a U20 clash between the two sides, with the confrontation reportedly breaking out in stoppage time after Mamoré scored their third goal.

According to the referee’s report, 43 players and eight members of the coaching staff were shown red cards following the altercation, which erupted near the teams’ benches.

The report also indicated that six ball boys became involved in the incident, while chairs and stretchers were reportedly thrown during the confrontation.

The scale of the violence forced the referee to abandon the match before its conclusion.

The 51 dismissals would surpass the previous Guinness World Record of 36 red cards issued during a match in 2011. However, official recognition of a new world record has not yet been confirmed.

The incident has drawn attention to the scale of disorder that can erupt during football matches, particularly at youth level.
