The Kenya Red Cross Society says it is tracking 38 people reported missing following the building collapse in Eastleigh, Nairobi, as efforts to establish their whereabouts continue.
In an update, the organisation said it had received 47 missing-person reports since the incident occurred.
Of those reported missing, nine people have been reunited with their families, leaving 38 cases pending.
The Red Cross said it was working with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to establish the last known locations of the remaining missing people before the collapse.
The tracing efforts are ongoing as authorities and emergency response teams continue responding to the incident.
