The Government of Ecuador has announced a night curfew in five provinces from November 1 to November 10, 2026, under Executive Decree 519.

The curfew will run daily from midnight to 5am in Guayas, Manabí, Los Ríos, El Oro and Esmeraldas provinces.

Authorities have advised travellers to avoid non-essential movement during curfew hours and comply with instructions issued by local authorities.

Passengers with flights scheduled to arrive or depart during the restricted hours have been urged to confirm any applicable exemptions with Ecuadorian authorities and their airlines before travelling.

Travellers have also been advised to carry valid identification and flight documents, including passports and boarding passes.

Taxi and ride-hailing services may be limited during curfew hours, potentially affecting transport to and from airports.
