A Kajiado court has authorised the detention of two suspects for 15 more days as detectives investigate the alleged murder of a 34-year-old woman in Entarakuet, Kajiado East.
Chief Magistrate Peter Gesora granted the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) application to detain Shon David Kioko and his domestic worker, Ndayishimiye Deo, a Burundian national, at Isinya Police Station to allow investigators to complete their inquiries.
The court also authorised the exhumation of the woman’s body for a post-mortem examination and further investigations.
The suspects will remain in custody until November 16, 2026, when they are expected to return to court.
According to the allegations presented in the case, Kioko killed his 34-year-old wife, who was a mother of four, before allegedly working with his employee to bury her body at their home.
The two were arrested after Deo reportedly went to Kiserian Police Station and disclosed what had allegedly happened.
Police officers and public health officials were expected to oversee the exhumation of the body before it is taken to a mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
The allegations are yet to be tested in court.
