Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company has announced the resumption of water production and transmission following the completion of emergency repairs on the NCT–Kigoro–Gigiri–Kabete pipeline.

The repair works were carried out by the Athi Water Works Development Agency (AWWDA), with supply restoration to affected areas now underway in line with the Equitable Water Distribution Schedule.

The company said it would take some time for the water system to stabilise, allowing pressure to build up before supply returns to normal, particularly in high-altitude and far-end areas.

Customers have been urged to use available water sparingly as restoration efforts continue and the system returns to normal operation.
