The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) has issued a warning over a suspicious website allegedly presenting itself as the Law Society of African AI Professionals (LSAAP), cautioning members of the public against engaging with the platform.
In a public notice, LSK identified the website, theailawsociety.co.uk, clarifying that it is not affiliated with the professional body.
The society said the website’s legitimacy and claims have been questioned, urging members of the public and legal professionals to exercise caution when interacting with it.
LSK further clarified that it has not endorsed any communication originating from the website or its engagements with relevant authorities.
“Members are advised to exercise caution,” the society stated in the notice.
The legal body warned the public against clicking on links, opening attachments or sharing personal and professional information through the website until its legitimacy has been independently verified.
LSK also urged anyone who receives related communications or requires clarification to contact the society through its official communication channels.
The warning comes amid growing concerns over online platforms that may misrepresent professional organisations and potentially expose unsuspecting users to security and privacy risks.
