Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot has appeared to take a swipe at Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna after the latter highlighted the poor condition of a road in Kwale County while travelling to the region for the Linda Mwananchi Movement rally.
In a post shared on his X account, Sifuna posted a picture showing the deteriorated state of the road stretching from Kinango towards Kwale town, drawing attention to the challenges facing motorists using the route.
Responding to Sifuna’s post, Cheruiyot used a sarcastic remark, writing, “Tandika katiba upitie juu….”
The exchange came as Sifuna and other leaders associated with the Linda Mwananchi Movement headed to Kwale County for their scheduled political rally.
Sifuna had also described the journey as challenging, noting that the road was characterised by potholes and waterlogged sections.
“Barabara kutoka Kinango kuelekea Kwale town ni kuruka vihunzi na maji…lakini tutafika tu Inshallah,” Sifuna wrote.
The exchange has brought renewed attention to the condition of road infrastructure in Kwale, with the two senators’ remarks highlighting the challenges encountered by road users along the route.
