A 57-year-old man has been jailed for 20 years by a Kwale court after being convicted of defiling a 13-year-old girl.
Chamambo Mangale Ngati, who is said to have practised traditional healing in Mandingo, Kwale County, was handed the sentence after the court found him guilty.
The case highlights ongoing concerns over sexual abuse of children and the need for parents, communities and authorities to strengthen efforts to protect minors from abuse.
