The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) has mobilised approximately US$1.51 million to support Kenya’s response to the Ebola outbreak, alongside laboratory equipment and supplies valued at US$350,000.
Africa CDC said it had also deployed 10 African health experts to help strengthen surveillance, contact tracing and other critical response activities.
The update followed a meeting on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, in Nairobi between Africa CDC leadership and Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Health, Aden Duale, who briefed the delegation on measures taken by the government to contain the outbreak.
Africa CDC commended the Kenyan government’s leadership and the efforts of health authorities and frontline workers in responding to the outbreak.
The agency thanked Duale and his team for the discussions and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Kenya as it works to bring the outbreak under control.
