Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has given his followers a glimpse of his leisure time in the United States after sharing footage of a luxury yacht outing with his wife, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi.
The video, posted on his TikTok account on Friday, October 9, 2026, shows the couple arriving at a bay and boarding a yacht for an evening of fine dining and entertainment.
The yacht appeared spacious, with floor-to-ceiling glass windows offering sweeping views of the surrounding city as the vessel moved across the water.
Gachagua and Pastor Dorcas arrived in matching jackets and were received by two attendants dressed in white, who escorted them to their table aboard the vessel.
The couple appeared relaxed as they settled in for dinner, with the yacht’s expansive windows providing a scenic backdrop to their evening.
Their outing later moved to the dance floor, where they joined other guests for music and dancing.
In the footage, Gachagua and his wife are seen holding hands as they dance together, occasionally switching their steps while enjoying the music.
Blue neon lighting illuminated the dance area, adding to the atmosphere as other guests joined the couple on the floor.
The video offers a personal glimpse into the couple’s time together away from Gachagua’s political engagements during his extended stay in the US.
It does not, however, establish the cost of the outing, who financed it or the precise location where the yacht was docked.
Gachagua departed Kenya on August 26, 2026, accompanied by Pastor Dorcas, for a visit to the United States that his Democracy for Citizens Party said would last approximately 50 days.
The trip has included engagements with Kenyans living abroad, with discussions focusing on political and economic developments, the diaspora’s role in national development and his plans ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Gachagua has used the visit to engage members of the Kenyan diaspora as he seeks to advance his political agenda and gather their views on issues affecting the country.
The yacht outing provides another look at the former Deputy President’s activities during the US visit, offering a contrast to the political meetings and diaspora engagements that have formed part of his itinerary.
