Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has welcomed Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and members of the Linda Mwananchi movement to his Wamunyoro residence, in a meeting that could signal growing political engagement ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Gachagua expressed warmth towards the visiting team, describing them as family as he hosted the delegation at his residence.

“Welcome to Wamunyoro residence, my cousins from Linda Mwananchi,” Gachagua said.

He further hinted at the potential of their unity, suggesting that their gathering could lead to significant developments.

“When we come together, great things must happen,” he added.

The meeting brings together Gachagua and members of the Linda Mwananchi camp associated with Sifuna, amid growing political realignments and conversations about the country’s leadership ahead of the 2027 polls.

Gachagua’s remarks appeared to emphasise unity and cooperation, although the specific agenda of the meeting and any resolutions reached were not immediately clear.

The visit comes as political leaders and emerging movements continue to engage in discussions that could shape alliances and influence Kenya’s political landscape in the run-up to the next General Election.
