The Jubilee Party National Executive Committee (NEC) has appointed a committee to spearhead coalition-building efforts with like-minded opposition parties ahead of the 2027 General Election.

In resolutions issued after a meeting on October 27, 2026, the party said the committee would review the draft Deed of Agreement for the Ukombozi Alliance (TUA) and propose amendments to strengthen cooperation among opposition parties.

The committee comprises party leader and presidential candidate Dr Fred Matiang’i, Senator Kembi Gitura, National Secretary General Moitalel ole Kenta and Janet Ong’era.

It will also engage other opposition parties to explore possible cooperation and develop proposals for strengthening unity ahead of the polls.

The NEC said the move recognises Jubilee’s membership in the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance and the need for greater coordination among opposition parties before the next general election.

The committee is expected to help shape the party’s engagement with other political formations as discussions on possible alliances continue.

The NEC also approved interim appointments to fill vacant party positions.

Lucy Naisiae Kashu was appointed Interim Chairperson of the Party Women’s Caucus, while Madina Yunis Mahat was named Interim Deputy National Organising Secretary.

In a separate resolution, the party extended its best wishes to candidates sitting the 2026 national examinations, including KILEA, KIPLEA, KIPSEA, KJSEA and KCSE.
