Homa Bay Town Member of Parliament Peter Kaluma has launched a political attack on Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, urging President William Ruto to build the senator a house instead of giving him money.
In a post shared on X, Kaluma referenced what he described as houses built for political figures Cleophas Malala and John Methu, claiming that they had turned against the President despite benefiting from his support.
“You built Cleophas malala a house and he opposes you. You built Methu Muhia a house and he opposes you despite sleeping under the roof you’ve built,” Kaluma wrote.
The legislator went on to suggest that Ruto should extend similar support to Sifuna, but in the form of a house rather than cash.
“Please build for Edwin Makonde Sifuna a house. Do it, don’t give him money,” Kaluma stated.
In a further swipe at the Nairobi senator, the MP alleged that any money given to Sifuna would be spent on alcohol, referring to “yellow yellow” and Johnnie Walker.
Kaluma also claimed that Sifuna was being undermined by former President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
“He needs a place to lay his head as he is destroyed by Uhuru and Gachagua,” he added.
The remarks add to the political exchanges surrounding Sifuna, who has remained a prominent figure in Kenya’s political debate.
