Kenya Power has announced planned electricity interruptions in parts of Nairobi, Nyeri and Meru on Friday, September 25, 2026, as the utility company carries out scheduled maintenance.
In Nairobi, customers in Part of Kitsuru will be without power from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. The affected areas are Part of Ngecha Rd, Lake View Est, Mitini Est & adjacent customers.
In the Mt. Kenya Region, electricity supply will be interrupted in parts of Nyeri County, specifically Muruguru, Gikunju, from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
The affected locations are Muruguru Mkt, Muruguru Sec Sch, Muruguru Village, Gikunju Maternity & adjacent customers.
Meanwhile, customers in Githindi, Kunati, Kinwe will experience an earlier interruption, beginning at 8.30 a.m. and running until 5.00 p.m.
Kenya Power has listed Kiamikuu Pri Such, Kunati Safaricom Booster, Mutewa Sec, Marega Pri, Kangethia Mkt, Marega Pri, Athwana Youth Polytechnic, Amatu Village, Akaiga Sec, Mulika Dispensary, Mikinduri Diary, Mukongoro Booster, Mlango Village, Theii Borehole & adjacent customer among the affected locations.
The scheduled interruptions are part of Kenya Power’s planned maintenance programme. Customers in the affected areas have been advised to make the necessary arrangements ahead of the scheduled power cuts.
