The iconic English Premier League trophy has arrived in Nairobi ahead of a highly anticipated fan tour and Guinness Matchday events set to bring the excitement of English football closer to Kenyan supporters.
Guinness, the Official Beer of the Premier League, will host the trophy in Kisumu and Nairobi, offering fans an opportunity to interact with the prestigious silverware while enjoying live screenings of selected Premier League matches.
The trophy tour will take place at Dondez and Berlin Lounge in Kisumu on Friday, October 16, before moving to Nairobi for the Guinness Matchday experience at 1824 and Kettle House on Saturday, October 17.
The events are expected to attract football enthusiasts eager to experience the trophy up close and connect with fellow supporters during a weekend of Premier League action.
According to Guinness Brand Manager Joy Murugi, the initiative reflects the brand’s commitment to providing football fans with memorable experiences while recognising Kenya’s strong following of the English Premier League.
“We remain committed to offering our consumers premium football experiences. The presence of the trophy at the Guinness Matchday serves not just to elevate the experience but to recognize the standing of Kenya’s football fans in the support of the Premier League,” Murugi said.
Beyond the trophy display, the Guinness Matchday events will feature live match screenings and an immersive atmosphere celebrating Kenya’s vibrant football culture.
The trophy’s arrival sets the stage for a weekend of football celebrations, giving Kenyan fans a rare opportunity to get closer to one of the most recognisable symbols in world football.
The initiative also highlights the growing appeal of football-themed fan experiences in Kenya, where the English Premier League commands a passionate following among supporters of clubs across the competition.
