Several people have reportedly been injured after a 14-seater matatu lost control and plunged into a roadside ditch in the Tumaini area along the Ol Kalou–Nakuru road.
The accident reportedly occurred after the matatu failed to negotiate a corner, veered off the road and crashed into the ditch, leaving the front section of the vehicle damaged.
The condition of the injured passengers and the extent of their injuries had not been immediately confirmed by the time of publication.
The circumstances leading to the crash also remain unclear, with further details expected as more information emerges.
The incident once again raises concerns about road safety, particularly on sections featuring sharp bends where motorists are required to maintain safe speeds and remain alert to changing road conditions.
Drivers are urged to exercise caution when approaching corners, adhere to speed limits and ensure their vehicles remain under control to reduce the risk of road accidents.
