Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and his allies are on Friday, October 30, 2026, set to formally unveil the Linda Mwananchi Movement’s political party and national headquarters in Lavington, Nairobi, as the outfit steps up preparations for the 2027 General Election.
The launch is expected to mark a major milestone in the movement’s efforts to transform from a political faction into an organised political outfit with structures capable of competing in the upcoming General Election.
According to reports by Daily Nation and The Star, the new headquarters will also serve as the movement’s presidential campaign command centre, coordinating political mobilisation, communication, administration and campaign activities across the country.
Sifuna is expected to formally assume leadership of the new political outfit and unveil some members of its national leadership and secretariat.
The event is also expected to outline the movement’s organisational structure, including committees responsible for elections, resource mobilisation and party operations.
The development comes after the movement settled on Sifuna as its preferred presidential candidate and party leader in September 2026, positioning him at the centre of its political ambitions ahead of the August 10, 2027 General Election.
Funyula MP Wilberforce Oundo and Bumula MP Jack Wamboka have confirmed plans for the unveiling, with Oundo saying that the event would involve opening the presidential campaign centre, which would also serve as the party headquarters.
The movement is also planning to establish offices in all 47 counties by December 2026 and introduce an online platform through which aspirants can apply to contest elective positions using its ticket.
