Kenyan rapper Stevo Simple Boy has announced his separation from his partner, Brenda, after DNA test results showed that he is not the biological father of their son.
In a statement shared on his social media pages on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, the musician said the results had been difficult to process and confirmed that the couple were no longer together.
“Following the DNA test results, I wish to officially announce that Brenda and I are no longer together as a couple,” he said.
Stevo added that he had chosen to handle the matter with dignity and respect for everyone involved, while asking fans and the public to respect his privacy during the difficult period.
The paternity test was conducted by Microafia Healthcare, with samples collected on September 25. The results, released on October 10, excluded Stevo as the child’s biological father after multiple genetic mismatches were identified in the analysis.
The child, known as Aiden Maleek and nicknamed Dragon Junior, had previously been at the centre of public discussion following claims by Stevo’s former manager, Machabe, who had alleged that he was the boy’s biological father. Machabe later withdrew the claim and apologised.
Stevo’s announcement has sparked reactions across social media, with some Kenyans expressing sympathy for the musician while others called for the family to be given privacy.
Despite the personal development, the rapper said his focus remained on his music career and building a better future.
He also thanked Microafia Healthcare for conducting the test and urged the public to respect the privacy of everyone involved, including the child.
