A woman aged approximately 30 has been found dead in a suspected suicide incident at West View Village in Nyamware Sub-Location, Keumbu Location, Kisii Central Sub-County.
The woman, identified as Dinah Kerubo Apoko, was discovered dead in her rented house on Monday, October 26, 2026, at around 12:45 p.m., according to an incident report.
The circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear, with the motive yet to be established. The report indicated that depression was among the suspected factors, although this has not been confirmed.
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Kisii Central, visited the scene, conducted investigations and documented the incident.
Her body was subsequently moved to the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH) mortuary, where it is awaiting a postmortem examination to establish the cause of death.
The deceased was reportedly from Mochenwa Location, Nyamira County, specifically Embaro Sub-Location in Nyabiosi Chobiri Village.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
