Former television news anchor Esther Arunga has formally dropped the surname Timberlake from her official identity, reverting to the name she used before adopting it.
In a legal notice, Arunga removed the surname associated with Quincy Timberlake, whom she previously identified publicly as her husband.
The change comes 16 years after she adopted the Timberlake name, during a period when the couple attracted widespread public attention in Kenya.
Arunga, who was once a familiar face on Kenyan television, will now be known as Esther Arunga following the formal change to her identity.
The development marks a change in the name she has used publicly since her association with Timberlake, although no further details about the reasons behind the decision were provided in the information available.
