A motorcyclist has died following a road accident involving a motorcycle and a crossover SUV at Geteri Bodaboda Stage in Kisii.
According to reports, the SUV, which was heading towards the Nyamataro route and bore an “L” sticker, allegedly veered out of its lane before colliding head-on with the oncoming motorcycle.
The rider reportedly sustained what appeared to be minor injuries in the crash and was rushed to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH) for treatment.
However, he succumbed to his injuries upon arrival at the facility.
The exact cause of death has yet to be established, with concerns that the rider may have sustained internal bleeding despite the seemingly minor injuries.
Police are investigating the incident to establish the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
