Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba on Friday monitored the administration of the Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) in Sotik, Bomet County, as the national assessment exercise entered its final day.

Ogamba said he witnessed the opening of the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) examination container and the distribution of assessment materials at the Sotik Sub-County Deputy County Commissioner’s Office.

He later visited Sotik Comprehensive School to monitor the administration of the assessments.

The Cabinet Secretary said multi-agency teams from the Ministries of Education and Interior and National Administration were working together to ensure assessments and examinations were conducted smoothly, securely and in an orderly manner across the country.

The KJSEA assessments were scheduled to conclude on October 30, 2026.
