Ruth Odinga has declared that she is willing to abandon the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) if doing so would help ensure justice prevails in Kenya.

“If I have to ditch ODM to ensure that justice prevails in Kenya, I will do so,” Ruth Odinga stated.

Her remarks signal a willingness to prioritise the pursuit of justice over party loyalty, potentially raising questions about her political position within ODM amid ongoing debates over the country’s leadership and governance.

The statement also places the spotlight on the relationship between political allegiance and the broader quest for justice, accountability and fairness in Kenya.

However, it remains unclear whether Ruth Odinga intends to leave the party or whether her remarks were meant to emphasise her commitment to justice above political affiliations.
